Only a limited quantity of this superb olive oil is produced annually. Made exclusively from the first cold pressing of Koroneiki olives, an aromatic late-ripening olive variety, this Vassilakis Estate-branded extra virgin olive oil is a connoisseur’s delight. Fruity and fragrant, with a light peppery aftertaste, Vassilakis Estate extra virgin olive oil has very low acidity levels of between 0.1-0.3%. It has a light bitterness but overall it is well balanced oil. The oil mellows and softens with age. Greek oil is renowned for its excellent organoleptic properties of Greek olive and their extra virgin olive oils have a variety of aromas, tastes and styles. Overall they should be well balanced with distinct, but not overpowering aromas and flavours. Some Greek extra virgin olive oils, especially those from Crete and Kalamata are considered to be the very best amongst the best extra virgin olive oil in the world.
