| Vincotto Originale | 50cl |
This is a totally unique product
produced exclusively by the Calogiuri family. It is a totally natural product
containing only the 'cooked must' of 2 varieties of grapes, Negroamaro and
Malvasia Nera, which has been aged in oak barrels for 4 years. It is described
by Italian chefs as a sweet velvety vinegar with the subtle overtones of
spices, grapes and plums. Vincotto is extremely versatile, it can be used as a condiment with roasted meats, salads, vegetables and desserts such as ice-cream. A splash can be added to sauces and marinades for a little extra flavour, or serve with boiled meats to give them a richer flavour. |

Balsamico Glaze

Balsamico is created in Modena,
Italy using grape juice from only Lambrusco and Trebbiano grapes. A new
alternative to a balsamic reduction or very aged balsamic vinegar. Balsamico has good depth of flavour, sweet with a little sour on the palate, with a creamy velvet grape texture, great shine and the thickness makes it suitable for plate dressing or drizzling on to food. The flavours are based on Mediterranean ingredients indigenous to the Modena region. |
