| ORGANIC Biolea with Lemons | 25cl |
This fabulous oil is first cold pressed
and stone ground from only Koroneiki olives grown on the Astrikas estate
in north west Crete. The Dimitriadis family have been producing oil on this
estate since the mid-18th Century. The oil has intensely grassy, herby aromas and flavours with a good burst of pepper. The Lemon oil is created by milling lemons with the olives to produce an oil which explodes with the flavour and aroma of lemons. |

| Affiorato, Puglia |
50cl |
This oil is from the area around Salento,
where olives have been grown since the 7th Century. Affiorato is the name for an ancient technique, after the olives are pressed the oil is given time to float to the surface of the watery liquid. This 'floating' oil is carefully collected by hand with special jugs. The resulting oil is very light and delicate. There are now only 4 companies in Italy, Gianni Calogiuri being one of them, who can produce this 'Affiorato' oil. |
